Flamengo have turned down European bids for 18-year-old forward Ryan Roberto, who remains at the club for now. His contract runs until March 2027 and he is not renewing.

According to Globo.com, Shakhtar Donetsk, CSKA and Lille tabled offers, but no agreement was reached between Flamengo and the player’s representatives. His camp are speaking to other European clubs, with the intention for him to sign a pre-contract in October.

Flamengo offered fresh terms, which he rejected. Ryan wants a clearer development pathway that includes first-team opportunities, while the club currently view him as a youth option with no defined projection. He has six goals and two assists in 13 appearances for the under-20s in 2026.

He made two senior appearances in 2026, both early in the Carioca when Flamengo fielded a reserve side. In 2025 he scored 22 goals in 37 matches, finishing as top scorer across the club’s two leading youth categories.

Born in São Paulo, he began at the Itaim Paulista social project “Paulistinha”. From the Água Vermelha community, he overcame a difficult childhood with strong family support. He joined Athletico-PR at 10, spent three years in Curitiba, then moved to Flamengo in 2023.
