Flamengo, still chasing the 2026 Libertadores and Brasileirão, have set their 2027 planning in motion with a priority list for contract renewals.
According to Coluna Do Fla, Danilo, Pedro, Léo Pereira, Agustín Rossi and Evertton Araújo headline the list. Talks are most advanced with the experienced centre-back, the number 13, who is close to extending a deal due to expire this year to December 2027.
Danilo received an offer to join a technical council linked to the Brazil national team, including assisting Carlo Ancelotti through the 2030 World Cup cycle. He has opted to remain at Flamengo for one more season.
Pedro is in early discussions over an extension to a contract that currently runs until the end of 2027. The only contact before now came soon after his return from a serious knee injury in late 2024.
Léo Pereira is also tied to the end of 2027, yet his market rise has pushed him up Flamengo’s priorities. He was signalled months ago about a pay increase, but no agreement followed.
After finishing 2025 in strong form, Rossi received a signal from the board about extending his deal, which also expires at the end of 2027.
Midfielder Evertton Araújo is under contract until December 2028. He covered absences well, then returned to a reserve role after Pulgar came back. The club see him on an upward curve, intend to value him within the squad and view a good future sale as possible.
Flamengo now turn to the Libertadores, facing Independiente del Valle (EQU) on Thursday 17 at 21:30, Brasília time, at the Maracanã in the quarter-final second leg. ESPN, on pay TV, and Disney+, via streaming, will show the match.
