Flamengo show interest in Avaí teenager Josmar

Flamengo have shown interest in signing 17-year-old Avaí forward Josmar, who has been part of the first team since last year.

According to Globo.com, Avaí president Bernardo Pessi said there is no formally signed offer at this stage.

Avaí extended Josmar’s contract in December 2025 to April 2028, setting a release clause at R$ 18 million.

He is the club’s leading scorer this season with two goals in five Catarinense appearances.

Last year he scored on his professional debut, becoming the youngest player to find the net in the points-era of Série B.

In Série B 2025 he ranked as the second most efficient young player, needing 60 minutes to score.
