Jorginho, who joined Flamengo last season, said he has still not adapted to South American refereeing. Speaking after the Estudiantes match, he called the situation frustrating and said he would rather not go into detail. He added there are many things he cannot understand and that it is what it is. He stressed the team must manage that frustration and focus on finding ways to win.

In Uruguay for the final phase of his recovery from a fractured clavicle, Arrascaeta watched the game on an Argentine broadcast. In a light-hearted moment, the number 10 mimicked renowned commentator Mariano Closs calling Pedro’s goal.

Friday’s session marks the latest step in Flamengo’s build-up for Palmeiras.
