With the first 2026 transfer window approaching its 3 March deadline, Flamengo have met key priorities and moved out unwanted players, yet further tweaks remain possible.

The immediate focus was a goalkeeper and a centre-back, and the club signed Andrew and Vitão. GE initially reported those deals.

Flamengo also brought back Lucas Paquetá after the midfielder expressed a desire to return. That leaves one outstanding area for potential additions.

The club still want a centre-forward and held talks over Kaio Jorge of Cruzeiro, but the Minas side refused to let him go.

Other options remain under consideration, including Taty Castellanos and Marcos Leonardo. Flamengo intend to move only for a centre-forward who fits or lifts the squad’s level, avoiding gambles and ensuring real competition for Pedro.

Off the pitch adjustments continue as Flamengo prepare to face Botafogo in the Carioca quarter-finals on Sunday 15 at 17:30 Brasília time at Estádio Nilton Santos.
