Flamengo to face Ferroviária in Brasileiro Feminino quarter-finals | OneFootball

The CBF has set the Brasileiro Feminino quarter-finals by draw, with Flamengo to face Ferroviária. The first leg is at the Estádio Luso-Brasileiro on Saturday 29 at 16:30 Brasília time. The return is on five September at Fonte Luminosa in Araraquara, also at 16:30 Brasília time.

The other ties are Grêmio v São Paulo, Cruzeiro v Corinthians, and Bahia v Palmeiras.

The semi-final bracket pits the winner of São Paulo v Grêmio against the victor of Ferroviária v Flamengo. The winner of Corinthians v Cruzeiro will meet whoever advances from Palmeiras v Bahia.

Flamengo finished fifth in the league phase to reach the knockouts, while Ferroviária ended above them on 31 points, one more than Mengão. The top six from the first stage progress to the play-offs.

In round 10, the sides drew 1-1 at the Luso-Brasileiro, with Kaylane scoring late for the hosts. Defender Kati netted for the visitors in Rio de Janeiro.

Flamengo are chasing a second national crown, their only title came in 2016 against Rio Preto, and they remain the only women’s champions from outside São Paulo state. Ferroviária have won two Brasileiro Feminino titles and have taken part in all 13 editions. Corinthians are the most successful club with seven.
