Flamengo will look for a new centre-forward in the next transfer window to ease Pedro’s workload. RTI Esportes reports that the club have sounded out the situation of Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal.

Jesus is currently well regarded by Flamengo’s football department, yet there have been no proposals or official contacts. The Brazilian striker is viewed as one of several market options.

Arsenal intend to reshape their squad ahead of next season, and Gabriel Jesus is expected to be made available for transfer. The forward’s contract with the London club runs until June next year.

Jesus saw limited minutes last season with Arsenal. He featured in 27 matches, scored six goals and provided one assist, averaging 37 minutes per appearance.

The squad also includes Wallace Yan, although the youngster has had limited game time.
