Flamengo train with Botafogo clash in focus after 2-0 win over Cruzeiro

Flamengo returned to work immediately after beating Cruzeiro 2-0 at the Maracanã, preparing for Saturday’s clássico with Botafogo.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the squad have a session scheduled on Thursday 12 at Ninho do Urubu, with Leonardo Jardim due to lead from 11:30 Brasília time.

Pedro put Flamengo ahead after four minutes following a Cruzeiro defensive lapse. Late on, Jorge Carrascal sealed it with a deft chip to confirm the 2-0 victory.

The win lifted Flamengo to fourth in the Brasileirão table, on seven points.

Focus now turns to Botafogo on Saturday 14 at Estádio Nilton Santos, kick-off 20:30 Brasília time, in round six.
