Flamengo are pressing on with construction of a mini-stadium at the Ninho do Urubu training complex, with pitch works well advanced and external areas still being assembled. The project aims to strengthen provision for the club’s youth and women’s teams at the CT.
According to Coluna Do Fla, reporters observed continued movement on site during a recent visit. Part of the pitch base is currently being replaced.
The ground has already staged academy matches, which helped the club assess what needed improving on the playing surface. It also serves as a training venue for some divisions.
Inside the facility, several details remain pending, with initial plans including accommodation alongside players’ changing rooms. Stands are on the agenda, plus electronic systems and lighting so the club can host night games. Doping control rooms and reserved spaces are also in the design.
Work is moving at pace to deliver the mini-stadium as agreed, with the club working to finish the full refurbishment by the second half of 2027. Once complete, Flamengo will have another home for academy fixtures, and the women’s team will host matches at Ninho do Urubu.
