Flamengo's Thiago Fernandes attracting interest from MLS

Flamengo striker Thiago Fernandes has been linked with a move to MLS side Houston Dynamo.

Thiago is one of many attacking options for the Rubo-Negro and will struggle for game time this season if he was to remain in Brasil.

Huston Dynamo are reportedly interested in bringing in the 20-year-old on loan with an option to buy and, according to Flazoeiro, Flamengo are said to be open to the deal

Thiago, who joined the Mengão in December 2019, played in the club’s opening two fixtures of the year but hasn’t featured in the matchday squad since the return of some more senior attacking options.

The MLS season kicks off on Saturday and the Houston based team will be hoping to complete a deal before then with negotiations expected to concludenin the coming days.
