GAEDEST/MPRJ has suspended Torcida Jovem do Flamengo for 10 matches following violence with Força Jovem do Vasco at the last derby, with the Vasco group handed the same punishment, according to Coluna Do Fla.

Banners, flags, musical instruments and clothing identifying either group are barred from entry. The sanction applies to every stadium in the State of Rio de Janeiro and to security perimeters around arenas.

Both groups breached a clause of the Termo de Ajustamento de Conduta agreed with the MPRJ. The confrontation took place on 3 May outside the Maracanã.

The TAC states that if an organised group engages in violence or stages gatherings in breach of the deal, authorities will issue warnings or suspend attendance with paraphernalia at football stadiums, whether in state, national or international competitions, even when no event is scheduled that day.

The suspension keeps Torcida Jovem out of Flamengo's meeting with Estudiantes (ARG) on Wednesday 20 May, the fifth round of Copa Libertadores Group A. Kick-off is 21:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã.
