Bayer Leverkusen’s defeat to TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday was compounded as goalkeeper Mark Flekken sustained a knee ligament injury and was substituted in the 60th minute.

Sky Germany reports that the Netherlands goalkeeper could be sidelined for up to two months, with a March return outlined.

In the meantime, Janis Blaswich is set to be given a chance.

Managing director of sport Simon Rolfes said they have complete confidence in Janis, but he could not rule out doing something.

His comments hinted at Leverkusen exploring the market for the remainder of January.
