Bayer Leverkusen lost Mark Flekken to a knee ligament injury during Saturday's defeat to TSG Hoffenheim.

Sky Germany reports that the Netherlands goalkeeper could be sidelined for up to two months, with March a possible return.

Flekken was replaced in the 60th minute. For now, Janis Blaswich is set to be given an opportunity.

"We have complete confidence in Janis (…) But I can’t rule out that we might do something," said the club's managing director of sport, Simon Rolfes.

His remarks suggested Leverkusen will assess options in the market for the remainder of January while backing Blaswich in the short term.
