Sunderland are being linked with three summer signings worth about £67m as Florent Ghisolfi shapes a major rebuild.

TEAMtalk reports that Manchester City full-back Rico Lewis, 21 and valued near £44m, is assessing his future amid limited minutes. He is said to want regular football to safeguard his England prospects after signing a long-term deal last year. Sunderland are listed among interested clubs alongside Newcastle, Everton, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Brentford and Brighton.

TEAMtalk adds that Sunderland are monitoring Blackburn Rovers defender Tom Atcheson, 19 and valued around £10m. He has broken through since his December debut and is attracting Premier League attention. Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle are also tracking him.

Sport Witness relays that Almeria playmaker Sergio Arribas, 24 and priced near £13m, remains on Sunderland’s radar. Ghisolfi is considered a long-term admirer and a move could be revisited to add creativity.

Pursuing Lewis, Atcheson and Arribas together would represent a bold outlay as Ghisolfi reshapes the squad.

Football Insider claims Chelsea hold strong interest in Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs ahead of the window. The 23-year-old is reportedly valued at up to £60m, with Liverpool and Manchester City monitoring, and is expected to return to the starting XI after the international break following injury.
