Real Madrid’s interest in Bayern winger Michael Olise is genuine, with president Florentino Perez driving the pursuit, per CF Bayern Insider. Madrid are exploring several targets this summer to address gaps in their squad.
Olise, a France international, was linked to Madrid in February and has been monitored by leading European clubs. Earlier this month Bayern ruled out considering offers, despite chatter around a possible €160m bid.
According to the report, an unsuccessful season in Madrid could prompt heavier spending, and Rodrygo Goes is not set to return until 2026.
The report adds that Bayern would not dismiss out of hand an offer around €160m, and senior figures would at least discuss it. As things stand, they have no intention to sell. Olise is contracted until 2029 and has no release clause.
Madrid have scaled back spending since the pandemic, and at 24 Olise sits at the upper edge of their usual big-ticket age profile. The right flank has lacked a regular presence, but without a sale of Vinicius Junior or Rodrygo and with other priorities, a move appears unlikely.
