Florentino Pérez 'has ruled out' Jürgen Klopp, José Mourinho still in Real Madrid frame

Real Madrid’s hunt for a new head coach is ongoing, with Jürgen Klopp no longer under consideration.

According to AS, the former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool manager has been ruled out because he is targeting the Germany job, and for now prefers to continue in a sporting director role within the Red Bull group.

The search is being driven solely by president Florentino Pérez.

Recent weeks of uncertainty around the appointment have left supporters and media uneasy.

With Klopp out, Benfica manager José Mourinho, who wants to remain at the club, is still seen by Pérez as the most qualified candidate, and Real Madrid do not feel any pressure to rush the hire.
