In the upcoming presidential elections at Real Madrid, Florentino Perez appears determined to build his campaign around stability, legacy, and the promise of another successful cycle.
Rather than focusing entirely on dramatic transfer announcements, Perez’s strategy centres on reminding supporters of everything the club has achieved under his leadership.
The campaign slogan itself, “A lot of history yet to be made”, shows the image the current president wants to project: continuity, ambition, and institutional power.
Perez’s latest presidential push appears carefully designed around the strongest pillars of his presidency.
Since returning to office in 2009, Perez has overseen one of the most dominant periods in Real Madrid’s history, with the club collecting 66 trophies and winning seven Champions League titles during his leadership era.
Notably, last week, a giant banner displayed beside the Santiago Bernabeu highlighted those European triumphs, stretching from Glasgow in 2002 to London in 2024.
Simply put, Perez wants members to associate his presidency with sustained success and historic dominance.
According to MARCA, the expected arrival of Jose Mourinho is emerging as a major talking point on the sporting front.
Even though Real Madrid are still expected to strengthen the squad, Perez has no intention of building the campaign around blockbuster transfers.
Internally, there remains huge confidence in the current core of the squad, especially around Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham, who are viewed as the faces of the club’s next generation.

What makes this campaign particularly interesting is that Perez is not only selling a football project; he is also selling Real Madrid’s global institutional power.
One of the biggest campaign points will be the redevelopment of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and its long-term financial impact.
Despite recent issues involving concerts and event management, the club remain convinced that the renovated stadium will become one of the strongest revenue-generating assets in world football.
Perez also plans to present updates regarding the club’s ownership structure and Real Madrid’s growing political influence within European football following the recent reconciliation with UEFA after the Super League conflict.
