Florian Thauvin could be named the new Lens captain after an exceptional season, his influence continuing to grow.
According to L'Équipe, Dino Toppmöller expects much from his leadership.

He opened the scoring in the Coupe de France final against Nice, which Lens won 3-1. He celebrated, arms outstretched, in front of the red and gold end at the Stade de France.
Hours later, with Bollaert chanting his name at five in the morning, he was in tears. In May he had cemented his status as an RC Lens legend.
Afterwards he said he was immensely proud and almost lost for words, speaking with barely any voice left by the end of the night.
