Flu idol Fred named new under-18 coach at Fortaleza

Former sports planning director and Fluminense idol, Fred was announced as the coach of Fortaleza's under-18 team last Wednesday (17).

In a video posted on the northeastern club's social media in partnership with the former striker, Fred declared that he is focused on the new challenge and will dedicate himself to the fullest in his new career.

This is Fred and I'm here to announce that I am the new under-18 coach of Fortaleza. I also want to tell you that I am very motivated, eager to experience the club day-to-day, and ready to dedicate myself fully to honor its colors and values.” – commented the former player.

The former striker announced that he had enrolled in training to obtain the CBF Academy's License A at the beginning of September. The work with Fortaleza's under-18 team will be Fred's first as a head coach.
