Fluminense close to agreeing new deal with Matheus Reis

Fluminense has arranged the contract renewal for forward Matheus Reis. The club and the player are aligning the final details, and the signing of the new agreement is expected to happen this week. The information comes from Wilson Fort, of Central Fluminense.

Matheus Reis has a contract registered until May 2028, however, since the agreement was made before the player turned 18, FIFA interprets the contract as valid only until 2026. The forward reached adulthood in April of last year, which now allows for the formalization of a new contractual term.
