Phil Foden struck late for a Manchester City side who had given away a two-goal lead against Leeds United.
The Citizens should have had the game done and dusted in the first half in which they were superior to Daniel Farke's struggling side.
Indeed, Foden had given City the lead with 59 seconds on the clock after an instinctive finish from Matheus Nunes' cut-back.
Goalkeeper Lucas Perri had needed to make a fine stop to deny Foden soon after but his punch from a corner led to City's second as Josko Gvardiol was able to take advantage.
From that point on, most would expect Pep Guardiola's side to win easily but instead they made it difficult for themselves.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin was introduced at half-time and scored within the first five minutes of the second period after poor defending somehow allowed the former Everton man to finish from close range.
The equaliser came from the penalty spot after a wild challenge from Gvardiol in which he thoroughly took his man out before eventually getting the ball. Gig Donnarumma did well to initially deny Lukas Nmecha but the Leeds man was able to finish on the rebound.
It looked like Leeds were on to an unexpected point until stoppage time when eventually Foden was able to find space in the box to turn and fire his shot into the corner to make it 3-2.
It wasn't a convincing performance from City but it was a spirited performance from Leeds who may well have bought their manager a little more time despite a late loss.
