Arsenal have secured the future of one of their most experienced players after forward Caitlin Foord signed a new contract with the club.
The Australia international has become a key figure since arriving from Sydney FC in 2020, making more than 200 appearances for the Gunners and helping the club enjoy one of the most successful periods in its recent history.
Foord, 31, played a major role in Arsenal’s triumphant UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign in 2024/25. The winger contributed seven goals and four assists in 15 European appearances as Renee Slegers‘ side lifted the trophy for only the second time in the club’s history.
The forward has scored 57 goals in 203 appearances for Arsenal and has won four trophies during her six years in north London, including consecutive Women’s League Cup successes in 2023 and 2024.
She also delivered another memorable moment earlier this year when she scored the winning goal in Arsenal’s dramatic 3-2 extra-time victory over Brazilian side Corinthians in the final of the inaugural FIFA Champions Cup at Emirates Stadium.

Foord remains one of the most experienced players in women’s football on the international stage. She made her senior debut for Australia as a 16-year-old in 2011 and has since earned 150 caps, scoring 41 goals for the Matildas.
The New South Wales-born winger helped Australia reach the semi-finals of the 2023 Women’s World Cup on home soil and was part of the side that reached the final of the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
Her new deal continues Arsenal’s efforts to retain the core of a squad that has enjoyed sustained success domestically and in Europe, with Foord remaining a key part of the club’s plans moving forward.
