Tip #1 - Back AC Milan to beat Verona @ 1/3

This is a real opportunity for Milan to rise to the top of Serie A ahead of their city rivals, who are playing later on in the day against Atalanta. This may be a pivotal point in the season for both sides, with Inter recently losing in the semi-final of the Italian Super Cup on penalties to Bologna.

This may not sound that important, but it's the latest in a long string of high profile disappointments for Inter, alongside the Scudetto and the Champions League - so there could be some real vulnerability in the Inter squad at the moment, which Milan can look to take advantage of.

Milan are a much more convincing side than they were last season, with Allegri organising the side into a 3-5-2 shape, which has proven to be very effective. They've won five of their eight home matches this season, and take on a Verona side that have triumphed just once on the road from seven attempts. Only Pisa (17) and Udinese (15) have conceded more goals on the road in Serie A this term than Verona, so we can expect Milan to be comfortable in victory here.

Tip #2 - Back Bologna to beat Sassuolo @ 4/6

Bologna recently battled past Inter Milan to reach the final of the Italian Super Cup, losing out 2-0 to Napoli in the final. Bologna did give a decent account of themselves in that final, but the individual quality of Napoli was the decisive factor, with Bologna being unable to match the scoring power of Conte's side, as we can see from the xG numbers (2.13-0.96).

Bologna have won four of their seven home matches in Serie A this season, notably only conceding five goals across these games. Only Como (3) and Roma (4) have conceded fewer goals at home this season than Bologna, which is likely to be a real strength for the home side here, as they take on a Sassuolo side that have only won one of their last five matches across all competitions.

That Sassuolo victory came against Fiorentina, a side sitting at the bottom of Serie A. Their away record isn't awful, but I do think they'll suffer a similar fate as the majority of sides travelling to Bologna this term, in that they will struggle to create chances. Bologa's recent record doesn't look all too promising, but it's worth noting that they've played Juventus, Inter and Napoli in this recent run of games.

Tip #3 - Back Algeria to beat Burkina Faso @ 8/11

Algeria put in one of the most commanding performances in the group stages of AFCON so far in their opening round game against Sudan, running out 3-0 winners. Sudan did go down to 10 men in that game, but Algeria were dominant throughout the encounter and had already taken the lead through Mahrez, who struck in the second minute.

Algeria have a really strong squad and will be eyeing up a deep run in this tournament, their main challengers in this group are their opponents here, who registered a 2-1 win over Equatorial Guinea in their opening match. Burkina Faso struggled to break down their opponents, who were also reduced to 10 men in the second half of the contest. Both of Burkina Faso's goals came after the 90th minute.
