Former Arsenal youngster Fin Stevens is set to undergo a medical at Leyton Orient ahead of a move from German side St Pauli, Hayters understands.

Stevens is closing in on a return to England after two years in Germany, with Orient set to pay a fee for the 23-year-old.

The full-back is believed to have turned down offers from other clubs in League One and Germany to join Orient.

Stevens rose through the ranks at Arsenal before a spell at non-league Worthing, where he attracted the attention of Brentford, going on to make a handful of first-team appearances for the Bees before departing for St Pauli.

He has played in League One previously for Oxford United, enjoying an impressive loan spell at the club in the 2023/24 campaign where he helped them to win promotion to the Championship.

Orient are backing boss Richie Wellens in the transfer market this summer following a disappointing previous campaign which saw the club finish 20th in the table.
