Anderlecht striker Luis Vazquez is turning himself into somewhat of a super sub in the Belgian Pro League. The former Boca Juniors forward has scored three goals off the bench in each of his last three appearances, with four goals in total over his previous five games. Last weekend he came off the bench and only played 14 minutes, but in that time he grabbed an equaliser against Club Brugge that helped the side turn the game around and take all three points.
The 23-year-old has predominantly been used off the bench, with former Nice striker Kasper Dolberg the preferred starter. Yet with limited game time, the tall Argentinian striker has still managed to grab seven Pro League goals in 25 matches, having only started two and played a total of 578 minutes. He also has one assist.
As Anderlecht gear up for a charge on the title, which is currently being led by city rivals Union St Gilloise, being able to bring the likes of inform Vazquez off the bench could prove crucial in tight games.
