Andy Carroll, 37, has been named interim player-manager at Dagenham & Redbridge, who compete in England’s sixth tier outside the professional leagues.
According to L'Équipe, he has taken on the role while remaining a player and co-owner at the National League South club, having joined in July on a three-year deal.
He has scored 6 goals in 12 league appearances this season, but has been sidelined in recent months through injury.
Carroll became a shareholder last month and now replaces Lee Bradbury as manager.
During 2024-2025 he played for Bordeaux in N2, registering 11 goals in 23 matches, and earlier featured for Amiens in Ligue 2 with 35 games and four goals.
His appointment follows the recent arrival of YouTuber KSI as a shareholder and strategic partner at Dagenham & Redbridge.
