Former Chelsea midfielder Craig Burley believes that the current Blues players might not be taking to Liam Rosenior right now.

To be honest, there are many people who will share this view as well, because from the outside looking in, it really does look like this could be the case right now.

Burley of course has had plenty of experience of these types of situations whilst playing the game, and he has been explaining that this is the reason he thinks the current crop at Chelsea are just not buying into Rosenior in this moment.

In words picked up on X this week, Burley said:

“He [Liam Rosenior] seems to be forcing it. I’ve been in so many dressing rooms with changes of manager, if somebody comes in, not only by actions but by words. 25 people, experienced players, fraud is a strong word.

“But they will smell someone who is not ready, who shouldn’t be there. They will sniff that out in a heartbeat. I just feel, the weekend display backs this up – a lack of work rate, desire – players talk.”

I think he’s made some good, and concerning points here with these comments.

In other news…

An article from Matt Law of The Telegraph yesterday explains just why Chelsea are backing Liam Rosenior to succeed despite his early struggles – it’s clear that he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

As well as that, there’s been more confirmation that Chelsea tried to sign a young defender back in the January transfer window.
