Former France international André Guy has died aged 85.

According to L'Équipe, the Bourg-en-Bresse native won eight caps for France between October 1964 and November 1968, scoring two goals.

At club level, he played for Rennes, Lyon, Lille and Saint-Étienne.

He scored 159 goals in the French top flight.

Guy finished as the division's top scorer in 1968-1969 with 25 goals.
