Back in January, we covered the news that former Arsenal academy winger Kido Taylor-Hart had joined PAS Giannina in Greece.
Taylor-Hart had been one of Arsenal’s many released players in the summer of 2024, remaining a free agent for the first half of the 2024/25 campaign. But by signing for PAS Giannina, he appeared to have found his home for the remainder of the campaign.
Four appearances later, that spell was already at an end. Taylor-Hart terminated his contract for “family reasons”, making him a free agent again.

Less than five weeks after joining PAS Giannina, Taylor-Hart’s second free transfer to Slovakian side Michalovce was confirmed. The winger signed a contract until 2027, taking the number 14, and he’s since gone on to make his second debut in a little over a month.
Taylor-Hart briefly played alongside former Gunner Miguel Azeez in Greece, and he’s now a teammate of ex-Arsenal academy midfielder Ben Cottrell at Micahlovce.
That’s not entirely a coincidence, as Taylor-Hart explained: “Ben Cottrell, whom I have known since childhood and we played together at Arsenal, told me a lot about the Michalovce club.
“I learned a lot of positive things from him and he immediately convinced me to come to MFK Zemplín. I want to help the team as much as possible and have a successful season with them.”

It’s certainly not commonplace for a player to make two permanent transfers in such quick succession, but PAS Giannina were evidently understanding of Taylor-Hart’s personal circumstances. He’ll hope to make more of an impression with his new club.
