Former Juventus chief says Manchester City wanted Alberto Costa before Porto move

Former Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli says Manchester City had Alberto Costa on their list before the defender joined Porto in the summer.

According to O Jogo, Costa moved to the Dragão in a deal that took João Mário to Turin.

Speaking with journalist Ivan Zazzaroni about the transfer market, Giuntoli brought up the Porto full-back during the conversation.

He said his players are all starters and that he is not seeking controversy.

Giuntoli added that he had paid for Bremer’s injury.
