Former Marseille defender Lucas Perrin likely to join Nantes | OneFootball

Sporting Gijón’s Lucas Perrin (27) is expected to sign for FC Nantes shortly, where he has been offered a two-year contract, according to reports in L’Équipe. No details of the transfer fee have, however, been disclosed. 

Having come through the ranks at Olympique de Marseille, where he began his professional career, the centre-back went on to play for RC Strasbourg Alsace, before leaving France to join Hamburger SV. After being loaned to Belgian side Cercle Brugge, Perrin finally moved to Spain last summer.

A regular starter for Sporting in the first half of the season, he gradually lost his place after Christmas, though he still managed 23 starts in 25 appearances (scoring two goals) across all competitions. His term of contract runs until 2027.

At Nantes, Perrin will return to France and aim to help the Breton side secure immediate promotion to Ligue 1, from which Les Canaris were relegated at the end of last season.
