Former Nice winger Hicham Mahou to join Scottish side Aberdeen | OneFootball

Hicham Mahou (27) is expected to sign for Aberdeen shortly, according to information from Foot Mercato.

A free agent since leaving FC Lugano at the end of June, the winger has been won over by the project presented by the Scottish club and is said to have decided to make it the next step in his career. The 27-year-old is now expected to sign a one-year contract with an option for a further year.

A product of the OGC Nice youth academy, Mahou made just 11 professional appearances for the club before moving to Switzerland, where he first played for Lausanne-Sport before joining Lugano in 2022.

Having made 24 appearances in all competitions last season, the Franco-Moroccan proved decisive on three occasions, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

In total, the former French Under-19 international has made just over 100 appearances (six goals, 10 assists) over the last four seasons.
