Paris Saint-Germain were crowned two-time Champions League winners on Saturday, 30 May after beating Arsenal on penalties.

According to Nosso Palestra, the final brought together two players with Palmeiras academy roots, Gabriel Jesus for Arsenal and Renato Marin, PSG’s third goalkeeper.

Marin featured for Palmeiras’ Under-15s in the so-called generation worth a billion, playing alongside Endrick, Estevão, Vitor Reis, Luis Guilherme and Ryan Francisco, now at São Paulo.

He also had a spell with São Paulo in Brazil before joining Palmeiras, and he was at Roma from Under-17 level.

Marin played 13 times for Italy Under-19, reaching the semi-finals of the 2024 European Under-19 Championship.
