Former Premier League star Ivan Toney has landed himself in hot water following a fresh controversy.
According to the Sun, Toney was arrested after headbutting someone in a trendy London bar.
The altercation started when the fan grabbed the 29-year-old for a selfie.
The striker allegedly headbutted the individual and left him with ‘blood leaking from the bridge of his nose’.
Dramatic video footage shows the England international being led out of the bar in handcuffs.
Toney currently plays for Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, having joined the club from Brentford in 2024 for a £40 million fee.
The striker is reportedly seeking a return to the Premier League, as he wants to be a part of England’s 2026 World Cup squad.
Tottenham Hotspur could make a move for Toney, although they may wait to discover the outcome of this altercation before taking the plunge.
Toney bagged 72 goals and 23 assists in 141 appearances across all competitions for the Bees.
However, his lengthy ban for betting offences resulted in Premier League clubs steering clear of him when he was angling to leave the London club.
The footage from the latest incident is not a good look for Toney, and may discourage Tottenham from bringing him back to English football.
