Former PSG and Nottingham Forest youngster swaps Sint Truiden for Sparta Prague | OneFootball

Former Nottingham Forest and PSG defender Loic Mbe Soh is leaving Sint Truiden to join Sparta Prague. The defender, who only joined Sint Truiden last season, has impressed during the past few months, having joined in January as a replacement for Rein Van Helden, who had joined Antwerp. Mbe Soh played 14 games for Sint Truiden last season as they qualified for European football for the first time and so far this season has already played twice. Sparta Prague are said to have paid Sint Truiden around €3m for the former PSG and Nottingham Forest man.

Mbe Soh came through the PSG academy and played three games for the first team before joining Nottingham forest in 2020. The defender spent four seasons with Nottingham Forest but only played 13 games, scoring one goal, in that time. For some of his Nottingham Forest tenure the defender was loaned out to Guingamp in France and Almere City in the Netherlands. In 2024 he left Nottingham Forest on a free and joined Beerschot in the Pro League. Mbe Soh played 52 games for Beerschot, with the first full season at the club seeing them relegated from the top flight. The 25-year-old was part of the side that pushed for promotion the following season before joining Sint Truiden in the January transfer window.
