Since leaving Real Madrid in the summer of 2024, Nico Paz has been excelling at Como 1907, establishing himself as one of the best young players in Serie A.
Given how the 21-year-old starlet has progressed, rumours of a return to the Santiago Bernabeu have been doing the rounds since the summer window itself.
After all, Real Madrid retain very affordable buyback clauses for the Argentine playmaker and have lacked a player like him in the ranks.
At the same time, Nico is garnering interest from other big clubs across Europe, with the likes of Inter Milan, Tottenham, and Manchester United all being linked at some point.
However, for a while now, talk of Nico returning to Real Madrid in the summer of 2026 has been gaining weight.
And, corroborating what has been reported, journalist Rodra of ESPN reports that Nico Paz’s return to Real Madrid is considered a ‘done deal’.

As far as the club’s planning for the next season is concerned, the 21-year-old former is being counted in the scheme of things for the future.
In fact, as Fabrizio Romano has already reported, personal terms are also pretty much agreed between the player and the club over a return in the summer of 2026.
What needs to be settled now would be the actual transfer fee that Real Madrid pay Como.
Although they have a buyback option for only €9 million, it is likely that the club might hand the Italian outfit additional compensation given his meteoric rise and the fact that the Serie A side turned down higher offers in the summer.
In 16 appearances in Serie A this season, Nico has already registered six goals and six assists, showcasing his quality.
