It is Luka Modric day in Milan today as the former Real Madrid midfielder has arrived on Milanese soil to seal his transfer to the Rossonerri.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the 39-year-old Croatian international has arrived to Casa Milan earlier today to complete his medical assessments and will sign his contract afterwards.

The well-documented midfielder has decided to not renew his stay with Madrid, ending his 13-year stint with Los Blancos, in favour of joining the Rossonerri on a one-year deal worth €4m as a free agent.

Throughout his time in Madrid, the holding midfielder 4 league titles, 2 Copa del Reys, and 6 Champions League titles.

Milan hope that Modric’s experience on the pitch and his winning character can help guide the Diavolo towards a very successful campaign this season as they seek to return to Champions League football.
