Former Sunderland loanee Lutsharel Geertruida could decide his future within the next 24 hours amid interest from the Premier League, La Liga and Eredivisie.

According to Sunderland Echo, transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano says Real Sociedad, Everton and Ajax have shown interest. He adds PSV Eindhoven are close to a loan for the versatile defender and a decision is imminent.

The Netherlands international joined the Black Cats on a season-long loan from RB Leipzig and made 28 appearances in all competitions as Regis Le Bris’ side finished seventh in the Premier League and qualified for this season’s Europa League.

A permanent switch did not materialise and he bade farewell last month, calling Sunderland a special club and expressing gratitude for the chance to play in the Premier League.
