Fortaleza ‘to sign’ Tiquinho Soares on loan from Santos | OneFootball

Fortaleza have reached an agreement to take Tiquinho Soares on loan from Santos for the remainder of the season.

According to UOL, the move can only be finalised once the mid-year transfer window opens on 20 July, when the forward will be eligible to be registered by the Ceará club.

Under the deal, Fortaleza will cover approximately R$ 400,000 of his monthly wages, with Santos continuing to pay about R$ one million under a contract that runs until December 2027.

Signed by Santos in early 2025 from Botafogo for about three million euros, Soares started well in the Campeonato Paulista but later lost his place. In February this year he joined Mirassol on loan as Santos reduced their wage bill.

For Mirassol he has played 10 matches and scored one goal, his last outing coming on 16 May in a 3-1 defeat to Atlético-MG in the Campeonato Brasileiro. With Santos he has 40 appearances, seven goals and seven assists. Mirassol had considered returning him and did not seek to keep him to the end of the loan.
