According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Fortuna Sittard are set to complete the signing of Marko Lazetic on loan from AC Milan. The 19-year-old Serbian striker will spend the season playing in the Eredivisie, where he’ll have the opportunity to develop under head coach Danny Buijs.
Lazetic kicked off his career with Red Star Belgrade, where he featured 17 times for the first team and won two Serbian league titles. In January 2022 AC Milan signed the striker for around €4.5m. He’s since featured twice for the first team, once in Serie A and once in the Coppa Italia.
Marko Lazetic spent the second half of last season on loan with Austrian Bundesliga club SCR Altach. The Serb featured 10 times but failed to score a goal. Now, he’s set to have the opportunity to show off his talent in the Netherlands. Fortuna Sittard will be the player’s new club. They’re looking to improve on last seasons 13th place finish in the Eredivisie.
