Mikel Arteta’s side will be aiming to avenge last season’s 2-1 defeat against Fulham. Arsenal can close the gap to league leaders Liverpool to four points with a win.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Line-up:

David Raya has been spectacular between the sticks for Arsenal this term. He made a wonderful diving save against United in midweek when the score was 1-0. He is expected to keep his place in goal.

Defenders Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori were not spotted in team training on Friday, but it was reported that the duo were training indoors.

Arteta hinted earlier this week that the pair could return on Sunday, and they will likely be in the starting XI.

Gabriel should rekindle his central defensive partnership with William Saliba. Jurrien Timber is poised to continue at right-back, with Calafiori operating on the opposite flank.

Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko should drop to the bench.

Thomas Partey will make way for Mikel Merino in midfield. Partey has been injury prone and Arteta could decide to rotate him with Merino in the number six role.

Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard are expected to continue as the central midfielders. Rice stepped up in the second half against United with an assist. The fans will be anticipating more of the same.

Bukayo Saka has been in exemplary form since the international break with eight goal contributions. He is a nailed-on starter on the right wing. The same can be said about Kai Havertz up front.

Gabriel Martinelli did not have much influence from the left wing against United. Arteta could decide to rotate. Leandro Trossard could replace the Brazilian in the starting line-up today.
