Four games left: Série B in thrilling fight for promotion

The Série B of the Brasileirão promises an exciting finish. There are four games left until the end of the competition, with leaders Coritiba in a somewhat more comfortable position and a thrilling battle for spots in Série A.

According to data from UFMG, Coritiba (60 points) is on a solid path towards returning to Série A, with 98.9% chance of promotion. The team from Paraná leads the odds and needs very little to secure their spot.

Right behind, Chapecoense (57 points) is well positioned, with 84.6%, maintaining a comfortable margin in the promotion zone. Their recent performance keeps the club in a favorable situation, but still subject to threats from those just behind. Remo also has 57 points, but appears as the third favorite, with 69.6%, and is riding a wave of confidence in the race.

The battle really heats up from the fourth spot onwards. Goiás (36.5%), Novorizontino (36%), Criciúma (35.4%) and Athletico-PR (32.6%) are all bunched together, separated by two points in the standings and less than four percentage points. Each round can completely reshuffle the table, and the pressure for results is set to increase.

Four other teams still dream of reaching the top division: CRB (5%), Cuiabá (0.87%), Atlético-GO (0.40%) and Avaí (0.098%) have mathematical, but very remote, chances.
