The jersey has a dark base color, with striking red elements providing contrast. Particularly eye-catching is an all-over graphic in which hidden design elements pay homage to major games, titles, and goals from FC Bayern’s history.

The club crest and the three adidas stripes are also in bold red. The FCBM sign-off is also featured on the back of the neck. Overall, the jersey is designed to combine a modern look with historical references.

These four Bayern moments are immortalized

The design centers on four special chapters in the club’s history.

One of them commemorates Franz Beckenbauer and his era at the pinnacle of European soccer. The Kaiser shaped FC Bayern like no other and symbolizes the club’s great international successes.

The 2013 Champions League triumph is also featured. This refers to Arjen Robben’s decisive goal in the final against Borussia Dortmund at London’s Wembley Stadium. The Dutchman scored the winning goal for Bayern just before the final whistle.

Another iconic moment dates back to 2001. In the Champions League final against Valencia, Oliver Kahn saved three penalty kicks, securing the victory for his team.

Rounding out this historical tribute is Patrik Andersson’s legendary free kick. In 2001 in Hamburg, the Swede clinched the championship at the very last second, writing one of the most dramatic chapters in Bayern’s history.

First Match Against Dortmund

Vincent Kompany’s team will wear the new jersey for the first time on August 22. They’ll face a prestigious showdown right away in the Super Cup against Borussia Dortmund.

This means the new jersey will make its debut under very special circumstances. At the same time, the historical connection is likely to make the jersey even more appealing to Bayern fans.
