A recent report from AS has brought fresh attention to the rapidly rising profile of Jacobo Ramon, with growing interest from the Premier League placing Real Madrid firmly back into the conversation about his future.

According to the report, as many as four Premier League clubs have already made contact to enquire about the defender’s situation ahead of the summer transfer window.

What is becoming clear is that Ramon’s development has not gone unnoticed. His performances in Italy have triggered genuine interest, and a competitive race for his signature is beginning to take shape.

Shining in Serie A

From a contractual point of view, the situation is pretty much straightforward.

Ramon is tied to Como until 2030, meaning any club interested in signing him will need to negotiate directly with the Italian side.

That alone sets a solid foundation for Como, who are under no pressure to sell.

However, the complexity increases due to Real Madrid’s continued involvement. Los Blancos retain 50% of the player’s rights, and crucially, they also hold a buy-back clause worth around €8 million.

Sold last summer for just €2.5 million, his value has risen sharply thanks to his consistency and maturity on the pitch.

Premier League clubs are well aware that the summer of 2026 could be the ideal moment to act, before his price climbs even higher.

Dreams of Real Madrid

Despite the growing external pressure, the defender’s personal ambition remains unchanged, as his long-term dream is still to return to Real Madrid

That objective is fixed in his mind, but Ramon is also realistic. He understands that regular minutes, continuity, and responsibility are essential steps on that journey.

Importantly, no move is expected in January. The summer, however, will be different.

Like any ambitious young player, he is open to listening to offers, especially when they come from one of the most competitive leagues in the world.

From Madrid’s perspective, the situation is being monitored closely. If the club decide that Ramon fits into their medium-term defensive plans, they can act decisively by activating the buy-back clause.
