Real Madrid will face off against SL Benfica in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League knockout playoff tie tomorrow at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It will undoubtedly be a tense affair considering what went down in the first leg, which Los Blancos won 1-0, with Vinicius Jr. allegedly suffering racist abuse from Benfica’s Gianluca Prestianni.

Yellow card danger for Real Madrid

Heading into the game against the Portuguese club, though, Real Madrid have as many as four players facing the risk of suspension.

Indeed, four Real Madrid players are one booking away from suspension and, if cautioned this Wednesday, would miss the first leg of the potential Round of 16 clash against either Manchester City or Sporting CP.

Vinicius Jr. leads the list, followed by Alvaro Carreras, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Dean Huijsen.

Vinicius picked up his second yellow card of the season in the Champions League last week against Benfica, with the referee controversially cautioning him for his celebration after scoring the goal.

The Brazilian, who has been returning to his best form in recent weeks, will be under scrutiny following the events of the first leg at the Estadio da Luz.

Meanwhile, Huijsen and Tchouameni are also on two yellow cards, while Carreras is on four in the European competition, meaning a caution tomorrow will see them earn an automatic one-match suspension.

In addition to these four players, Jude Bellingham is also on two yellow cards in the tournament, but is ruled out of the game as he is currently recovering from an injury and will not return to action at least for another month.
