Juventus are eyeing a new right-back this summer, and Genoa’s Brooke Norton Cuffa is reportedly the first name on the shortlist.

The Bianconeri thought they had addressed this issue last summer by bringing in Joao Mario from Mario (in an indirect swap for Alberto Costa), but the 26-year-old couldn’t break into Luciano Spalletti’s plans.

The Portugal international was sent to Bologna on a dry loan in January, and he’s not expected to be reintegrated next season. Mario himself hinted he’s unlikely to be given a second chance under Spalletti’s reign.

This season, Pierre Kalulu emerged as Juve’s best solution for the right-back crisis. The Frenchman has been serving admirably in this role, but the squad still needs an alternative solution.

Emil Holm joined in January on loan with an option to buy, but he sustained an injury a few weeks following his arrival, which has hampered his chances of earning a permanent transfer.

Therefore, Juventus are on the lookout for a new right-back, and Tuttosport believes Norton-Cuffy is the preferred profile for the role.

The 22-year-old is an Arsenal youth product who joined Genoa in the summer of 2024 and went on to establish himself as one of the best young full-backs in Serie A.

Juventus sporting director Marco Ottolini was the one who brought the young Englishman to Liguria, so he’ll be hoping to capitalise on his relationships with his former employers as well as the player’s entourage to seal the deal. The Grifone’s asking price is around €15 million.

In addition to Norton-Cuffy, the Turin-based newspaper names another three right-backs on Juve’s shortlist, beginning with Zeki Celik, whose contract with Roma will expire at the end of the season.

The Bianconeri’s interest in the Turkish international isn’t new, but the source reveals two Frenchmen who are also under consideration in Stuttgart’s Lorenz Assigon (25) and PSV Eindhoven’s Kiliann Sildillia (23).
