Juan Foyth has said goodbye to Alfonso Pedraza in an emotional Instagram post, celebrating a friendship forged over six years together at Villarreal.

The Argentine defender said in a post that Pedraza welcomed him to the club and showed him what Villarreal is about, adding that he savoured every match, training duel, dinner and camp they shared. He joked that Pedraza is very weird, but said that made him special and loyal, and that there is much they can learn from him, closing with a declaration of love.

He ended by promising to stand by his friend and admitting he will miss him.

The message drew warm responses from the dressing room. Yeremy Pino hailed the pair as his boys, while Manu Trigueros affectionately called them animals.

Foyth and Pedraza have long shared games, sessions and trips at Villarreal, and the post underlined the depth of their bond beyond the pitch.
