FPL Scout: Gameweek 12 hints, tips and advice | OneFootball

Brentford has teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season.

Scout will be using their expertise to provide info, advice and Gameweek tips which may prove useful in ensuring you sit on top of your mini-leagues.

Best of the Bees

These days, entertainment feels guaranteed at Gtech Community Stadium. Not only do Brentford have the league’s best home form (five wins and a draw), but those six games have featured 29 goals. This means these matches are averaging 4.83 goals per game.

There were five goals in the match against Bournemouth in Gameweek 11. Yoane Wissa (£6.1m) continued his superb form on his return from injury with two goals and all three bonus points. Of all Premier League players to be named in at least one line-up, Wissa has the best minutes-per-goal ratio (80.9).

Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9m) registered his ninth attacking return of the season in Gameweek 11 when he assisted Mikkel Damsgaard (£5.0m) for his near-post strike.

Mbeumo is owned by 43% of all FPL managers and, though unable to continue his streak of scoring in every home match, an assist keeps him productive.

The Spotlight

For the winner, Wissa was set up by some outstanding play by Vitaly Janelt (£4.9m). Indeed, Janelt’s latest five outings have brought in one goal and three assists. The midfielder has recently scored past Fulham and set up strikes versus Wolves and Ipswich.

Since Gameweek 7, Janelt has had two shots on target and three attempts inside the penalty area. In addition to this, his six big chances created is not only team-leading, it is also better than everyone else in the game except Matheus Cunha (£6.8m).

Owned by just 0.6% of managers, Janelt is a huge differential that could reap rewards because he’s about to face the team’s placed 15th and 16th in the table.

Best of the Rest

Gameweek 11 saw Wolves record their first win and clean sheet of the season. Cunha justified his recent surge in popularity with a 12-point haul for his goal, assist and all three bonus points.

FPL managers who’ve persisted with Bruno Fernandes (£8.4m) were finally rewarded. His goal and two assists against Leicester resulted in 17 points for the midfielder. This made him the highest-scoring player in the Gameweek.

Meanwhile, João Pedro (£5.4m) came off the bench for a cameo on his return from injury to register 11 points and ensure three points for Brighton in a win over last season’s champions Manchester City. The Brazilian forward will be hugely appealing for Brighton’s good run of upcoming fixtures.

In Demand

Joining Fernandes, Cunha and Wissa among the five most-bought players of this international break is Alexander Isak (£8.5m). The Newcastle striker has a goal from four consecutive matches in all competitions and hosts West Ham on Monday night.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.0m) was substituted in the 25th minute with a hamstring problem, which meant he missed out on clean sheet points. His status for Gameweek 12 is unknown, meaning he is one of the most transferred out players.

Another popular sale is Dominic Solanke (£7.7m). The forward failed to return at home against Ipswich and faces Man City in Gameweek 12.

Captaincy

The mass shift from Erling Haaland (£15.2m) to Mohamed Salah (£12.9m) continues, as the Egyptian outscored his counterpart for the sixth successive league game.

This will also be reflected in the week’s captaincy figures because Salah is travelling to last-placed Southampton.

An alternative premium contender is Cole Palmer (£10.9m). Last season’s best FPL player is also visiting a promoted side - in this case, Leicester, the former club of current boss Enzo Maresca.

Palmer is flagged in the game, however. He has been spotted in Chelsea’s training photos. If fit, he’ll be a great armband shout.
