A second 2-0 away victory of 2025/26 came on Saturday, against Wolverhampton Wanderers, putting Brentford 12th in the table for Christmas.
On a quiet afternoon for Igor Thiago (£7.1m), Keane Lewis-Potter (£4.8m) was one of the big heroes of the afternoon. He had a shot on target in the 39th minute, before two close-range Kevin Schade (£7.0m) efforts were also beaten away by Sam Johnstone (£4.5m) after the break.
Once Lewis-Potter scored twice, goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher (£4.5m) maintained the two-goal advantage, saving his second penalty of the season. For Kelleher, this was his first double-digit haul and just the ninth by a goalkeeper in 2025/26 Fantasy.
In addition, four of Keith Andrews’ side secured additional defensive contribution (DefCon) rewards: Nathan Collins (£4.9m), Sepp van den Berg (£4.5m), Vitaly Janelt (£4.9m) and Yehor Yarmoliuk (£5.0m).
Playing out of position in FPL terms, Lewis-Potter - who is listed as a defender on the game - played on the right-wing at Molineux due to Dango Ouattara (£5.9m) being on international duty.
Some Gameweek 16 users of the Free Hit chip realised this potential and picked him for the 1-1 draw against Leeds United. Typically, it was the next match where the 24-year-old delivered, getting the full set of defensive clean sheet points while scoring two goals from higher up the pitch.

Just after the hour mark, an inswinging Janelt pass unexpectedly bounced its way into his right-footed shot. He later doubled the lead by sliding to volley in Mikkel Damsgaard’s (£5.8m) cross.
Sprinkle in a few bonuses, and Lewis-Potter finds himself with a 21-point haul: the most of any FPL Gameweek 17 player.
Elsewhere, Erling Haaland (£15.1m) pleased many captainers - and 900,000 Triple Captain chip users - by producing two goals and an assist at home to West Ham United.
Also bagging a brace was Morgan Rogers (£7.2m), meaning he’s scored 15 points in three of his last six matches, helping the relentless Aston Villa win for the 11th time in 12 league occasions.
Centre-forwards Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.8m) and Nick Woltemade (£7.3m) also netted twice.
The injuries of Alexander Isak (£10.3m) and Bruno Fernandes (£9.4m) have presented millions of managers with the opportunity to buy Hugo Ekitike (£8.9m).
Thiago is often making way for the Frenchman, someone boasting five goals in his latest three games and suddenly looking very secure for Liverpool starts, while Mohamed Salah (£14.0m) and Cody Gakpo (£7.3m) remain unavailable.
Those looking to raise money for Ekitike can maybe fund the move by selling the flagged Fernandes. With such a tight turnaround between festive fixtures, even a minor injury could keep him out of multiple Gameweeks.
Rogers, Matheus Cunha (£8.0m) and Declan Rice (£7.1m) are popular midfield replacements.
As for the distribution of Gameweek 18 armbands, Haaland has recovered from a slight lull, by his standards, to supply four goals, an assist and 29 points from his last two outings.
He’ll be trusted with captaincy away to Nottingham Forest, although Ekitike’s new owners will be very tempted to back him at home to last-placed Wolves.
