Brentford have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season.

Scout will be using their expertise to provide info, advice and Gameweek tips which may prove useful in ensuring you sit on top of your mini-leagues.

Best of the Bees

Before October’s international break, a narrow defeat to Manchester City ended Brentford’s unbeaten start at home.

However, the numbers show that the Bees were unlucky, especially in the second half. Igor Thiago (£6.1m) came close to levelling the game when Oscar Bobb (£5.5m) was successfully dispossessed in the penalty area.

Brentford’s top-scoring player that afternoon was goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher (£4.5m), who grabbed an extra point thanks to making three saves. The best saw a strong arm block a powerful back-post Tijjani Reijnders (£5.8m) volley.

The Spotlight

Another chance to equalise came from Kevin Schade (£7.0m) in the 90th minute, when he successfully pressed a Gianluigi Donnarumma (£5.7m) pass. Unfortunately, it ended up falling just wide.

Had that been converted, Schade would have registered an attacking FPL return in three successive home matches. The midfielder had previously scored against Chelsea and assisted against Manchester United, when Thiago tapped in the rebound from Schade’s initial shot.

Schade was handed a summer price rise from £5.5m to £7.0m in acknowledgement of his brilliant 2024/25 season.

Last year, he accumulated 11 goals, four assists and 149 points. This season, he remains a fantastic differential as he is owned by just 0.5 per cent of managers.

The Bees next visit West Ham United, where his early winner secured a 1-0 win back in February.

Schade is listed as a midfielder and could perhaps be the best way to cover Brentford’s attack.

He’s joint with Mikkel Damsgaard (£5.8m) on five chances created, level with Thiago for shots inside the box (10), and the team’s outright leader for close-range touches (27).

Best of the Rest

Managers witnessed double-digit hauls for the likes of Donyell Malen (£5.1m), Bruno Guimarães (£6.5m) and Mohammed Kudus (£6.7m). The latter has racked up five assists and can now boast his first Spurs goal since joining in the summer.

A late Jack Grealish (£6.9m) winner ended Crystal Palace’s 19-match unbeaten streak, pleasing over 2.6 million owners. Though be aware that the loanee is ineligible for Gameweek 8, when the Toffees face his parent club, Man City.

Further joy came from Arsenal’s home clean sheet. Even more interesting was that Bukayo Saka (£9.9m) took a penalty while assumed spot-kick taker Viktor Gyökeres (£9.1m) was on the pitch.

In Demand

Gameweek 7’s highest scorer, on 18 points, was Antoine Semenyo (£7.9m). He entered the Friday night clash with Fulham as FPL’s leading midfielder, then delivered an additional two goals and one assist.

Semenyo’s price has now risen nine times since Gameweek 1, and he pips Erling Haaland to being the most transferred-in player over the international break.

The Bournemouth midfielder is now found in over 60 per cent of squads, and he has the feel of an essential FPL asset.

Meanwhile, Haaland scored a hat-trick for Norway over the international break, meaning he’s scored a staggering 21 goals in 12 matches for club and country. He is the second-most transferred-in player as a result.

To afford him, many continue to sell Mohamed Salah (£14.4m).

Captaincy

Even against a resolute Everton defence, it’s hard to give the armband to anyone other than Haaland right now.

He’s number one in the top flight for attempts (29), shots on target (14) and big chances (14).

Then again, those keeping Salah could be tempted into captaining the Egyptian, knowing how much he loves facing United.

In fact, he’s provided 12 goals and six assists in the rivals’ last nine league meetings.
